Partner William R. Hummel will be hosting Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm’s next webinar on Thursday, Sept. 28 from noon to 1 p.m.
Hummel’s presentation is entitled “Teacher Shortages: Are International Hires a Solution?” The webinar will look closely at nonimmigrant work visa and green card options for qualified foreign national workers in the education sector, including for public, private, and charter schools as well as at the university level.
The webinar is recommended for education workers, including teachers, university professors as well as managers/employers in the education industry. It will specifically discuss J-1, H-1B, O-1 and TN visas; permanent residency; and more.
“The education industry needs top-quality teachers, professors, and education professionals, and the recent pandemic has only magnified that need,” Hummel said. “Using visa sponsorship is one method that schools and universities are leveraging to meet the ever-growing demand.”
