Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm Managing Partner Hannah F. Little has been named the 2024 Best Lawyers® Immigration Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Charlotte.
The prestigious award is presented annually to the attorney who receives the highest overall feedback from peers in a specific practice area and region. Only one lawyer is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for each specialty and location.
Little has been honored by The Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2017. She was also recently awarded with the renowned Thought Leader title by Who’s Who Legal and named to the Business North Carolina (BNC) 2023 Legal Elite list.
In addition to Little, Founder Steven H. Garfinkel, Partner William R. Hummel, Partner Meredith W. Barnette and Senior Associate Attorney Nam Douglass were all also honored for their work in immigration law in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.
Partner Colleen F. Molner, meanwhile, was named to the Charlotte Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America immigration law list, an award given annually to early-career attorneys who have demonstrated “outstanding professional excellence” in their field.
Best Lawyers® was first published in 1983. The organization’s methodology is “designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area,” according to its website.
The six honorees have been practicing immigration law for more than 100 years, combined. Little, Molner, Hummel and Douglass are all certified as Specialists in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar, the highest level of specialization attainable in the state.
