The Firm received a top-level Band 1 designation in the publication’s Immigration in North Carolina Legal Rankings, while Garfinkel and Little also both received individual Band 1 recognition.
Chambers identifies the best law firms across the world and is often considered the gold-standard of legal honors because of its comprehensive research process and stringent selection criteria. The organization conducts “tens of thousands of interviews a year with in-house counsel and third-party experts.”
Firm rankings are based on six factors which include technical legal skills; client service; team depth; commercial vision and business understanding; diligence; and value.
Individual attorneys, meanwhile, are recognized by Chambers based on their knowledge, experience, proven professional ability, effectiveness and client service. Lawyers “need to demonstrate sustained excellence in order to be ranked” in Chambers USA.
Garfinkel, who founded the Firm in 1997, has been practicing U.S. Immigration Law for more than 35 years. He is one of a limited number of attorneys certified as a Specialist in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar and is a Past Chair of the Immigration Specialization Committee.
Little is certified as a Specialist in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar, as well. She has also recently been recognized by Who’s Who Legal and has earned an esteemed AV Preeminent Rating®.
Garfinkel and Little were both also named to the Business North Carolina (BNC) 2022 Legal Elite list and honored by Super Lawyers early this year.
